Who We Are The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria (WEAN) is a not-for-profit and non-partisan network of individuals and organizations working as a Non – Governmental Organization (NGO). WEAN is registered as an Incorporated Trusteeship, with the Corporate Affairs commission (CAC), Nigeria. The members govern the Association, and the priorities and needs of members drive the Association’s agenda. What We Do In contributing to the economic, social, and political empowerment of women, youths, and adolescents: 1. WEAN undertakes training in all relevant skills including:- - Vocational skills training and mentoring; - Entrepreneurial skills - Business Start-up and Business Expansion support services - Accessing business funds from financial institutions and other sources - business planning, customer handling, Proper accounting records for business success, marketing, taxation, financing, etc; - provision of appropriate information; 2. Promotion of: i. Environmental and community development issues; ii. Gender equality in decision-making roles and governance issues awareness; iii. Human rights of women and girls; iv. Prevention of violence against women and girls (VAWG), v. Facilitating hard work and decency among youths and adolescents through capacity building initiatives. WEAN Members Benefits include: 1. Participation in training programs 3. Mentoring, more experienced members are mentors to less experienced colleagues 4.
